When it comes to paint colors, Atlanta-area Ace Hardware customers are shifting to crisp whites and pastel colors, balanced by earth tones and deep tones.

Those are recommendations from Ace’s Regional Paint Preference Survey (ARPPS) on paint purchases for the first quarter of 2022. It tracks consumer preferences and ranks top colors for buyers over the time period, based off of expertise from the Benjamin Moore color director.

An all-over use of white is a classic look, especially with creamy variations such as Timid White OC-39 and Swiss Coffee OC-45, the survey found.  Warm clay hues are achieved with Ipanema AF-245 and are balanced by sophisticated deep colors with Temptation 1609 and Flint AF-560.

Fresh pastels are also favorites, including Palladian Blue HC-144 and a touch of violet with Slip AF-605.
