Atlanta Hawks fourth-year point guard Trae Young has been voted to start for the 2022 NBA All-Star Game, his second All-Star Game start.

Young is the sixth player in team history to make multiple All-Star Game starts, along with Lou Hudson, Eddie Johnson, Pete Maravich, Dikembe Mutombo and Dominique Wilkins, the Hawks reported. Starters are chosen by fans, a media panel and players.

"That's our all-star," the Hawks said in a Twitter post on Jan. 27.

Throughout this season, Young has averaged 27.7 points, 9.3 assists and 3.9 rebounds in 34.6 minutes. Young leads the NBA with 1,191 total points and comes in third with 400 total assists, the Hawks reported.

Young is the league's only player who ranks in the top five of both points earned per game as well as assists per game, coming in fifth and third place respectively, the Hawks reported. He is also only the third NBA player to score more than 25 points and more than 10 assists in five straight outings.

While playing the Portland Trail Blazers on Jan. 3, Young scored a career-high 56 points and 14 assists, becoming the first player in league history to score more than 55 points and more than 14 assists in a single game, the Hawks reported.

Young and the Hawks are currently on a five-game winning streak, the longest currently active streak in the Eastern Conference and the second-longest in the league, the Hawks reported.

The 2022 NBA All-Star Game will be played on Feb. 20 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, the Hawks reported.
