PIEDMONT HEALTHCARE: Piedmont Urgent Care by WellStreet to Open Johns Creek/Suwanee Location

Piedmont Healthcare issued the following announcement on Jan. 10. 

Piedmont Urgent Care by WellStreet, your community urgent care provider, opened in Suwanee at 2637 Peachtree Parkway on Jan. 6th. It is in the Brookwood Marketplace shopping center at the intersection of Peachtree Parkway and Brookwood Parkway, located in front of Home Depot and Target.

“Piedmont Urgent Care by WellStreet is proud to expand our services into the Johns Creek community,” WellStreet CEO Lisa Mikkelsen said. “We lend support to Primary Care Physicians and their patients during extended hours, nights and weekends, particularly if their offices are closed. Most importantly, we are committed to delivering uncompromising care to every patient.”

Piedmont Healthcare partnered with WellStreet Urgent Care in 2014 and now operates 34 Piedmont Urgent Care centers throughout the Atlanta region and beyond. WellStreet’s providers are members of the Piedmont Clinic, which has more than 2,500 physician members. Piedmont Urgent Care offers patients shorter wait times and higher patient satisfaction. Piedmont Urgent Care also offers COVID same-day PCR, rapid, and antibody testing at all locations.

Piedmont Urgent Care by WellStreet provides virtual visits and walk-in treatment for non-life-threatening illness and injury, and workers’ compensation and employers’ services seven days a week, with extended hours nights and weekends, and are an excellent alternative to busy emergency departments and when traditional primary care offices are not open. Our facilities also feature warm, welcoming environments, onsite digital X-ray capabilities and accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid and competitive self-pay rates.

The new location is open seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Piedmont Urgent Care visits can be utilized for common cold symptoms, such as cough, sore throat, nasal drainage, and ear pain. In addition to walk-in care for minor injuries, illnesses, COVID-19 testing and physicals.
