GEORGIA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Georgia Chamber Statement on SCOTUS Federal COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate Ruling

Vaccination

Georgia Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Jan. 13.

Today the Supreme Court blocked the Biden administration’s OSHA rule requiring vaccines for businesses with over 100 employees. However, the court upheld the vaccine policy issued by the US Department of Health and Human Services’ Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, which requires COVID-19 vaccines for certain health care workers at hospitals, nursing homes and other facilities that participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs.

The Georgia Chamber recognizes that vaccinations remain key to our economic recovery and encourages everyone to get vaccinated, putting this pandemic behind us and a more resilient future before us.
