One game is all that separates the Atlanta Braves from their first World Series crown since 1995 after the rallying from an 0-2 deficit to top the Houston Astros, 3-2, in Game 4 of the World Series.
The win gives the Braves a commanding 3-1 lead in the Fall Classic and pushes their record at Truist Park this postseason to 7-0.
"I'm happy for our city that they can go through this, experience this," Braves manager Brian Snitker said, ESPN reported. "What a great time of year. For the city, the Braves County, to experience all this, for our players to experience it -- it's a win-win situation."
For the first six innings of action, it appeared the Astros would be the first ballclub to notch a playoff win here in 2021.
Guided by Astros starter Zack Greinke's on-the-mound wizardry and two big scoring plays by shortstop Carlos Correa and Jose Altuve, Houston crafted a 2-0 lead.
But things began to swing in the hosts' favor when Braves third baseman Austin Riley chipped in an RBI in the sixth, MLB.com reported.
Outfielder Jorge Soler, the first player to hit a leadoff home run in the World Series opener, blasted a solo home run in the seventh to tie the game.
Shortstop Dansby Swanson capped the rally and the game with his first home run of the postseason, MLB.com.
The Braves will try to avoid a return trip to Houston in Game 5 tonight at 8:15 p.m.
