Fulton County issued the following announcement on July 29.
Are you a property owner in Fulton County? Do you enjoy interacting with others and making a difference in your community? Are you at least 18 years of age and qualified to serve as a Grand Juror? If all of these are true, you may be interested in becoming a member of the Fulton County Boards of Equalization.
The Boards of Equalization are citizen panels that make determinations in appeals of property valuation. Members are appointed by the Fulton County Grand Jury and are managed by the Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts.
Successful candidates will serve a three-year term and may be reappointed by the grand jury for more than one term of office. Hearings are held in the Fulton County Government Center located at 141 Pryor Street, SW Atlanta, GA between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM. Board members set their own schedules and are compensated at the rate of $100.00 per day.
