Lovett School issued the following announcement on July 14.
Wasswa Robbins ‘21 was named First-Team All-State for the state of Georgia by the United Soccer Coaches this past week.
Robbins became just the ninth Boys Soccer player in program history to be named to the First-Team All-State team and the first since 2008 when Jack Hall ‘08 last garnered the honor.
Robbins helped lead the Lions to a State-Runner Up finish in 2021 and an overall record of 16-4-1, 5-1 Regionally. Robbins led a prolific offense that averaged 4.5 goals per match. He was responsible for 91 points on the season with 40 goals and 11 assists.
Robbins was the Gatorade Player of the Year Nominee for the 2021 season and will further his academic and athletic career playing soccer at the United States Naval Academy.
Head Coach Tyler Sherman mentioned how Robbins stellar year helped shaped the Lovett Boys Soccer program.
"Well deserved honor," Coach Sherman said. "Wasswa is a gifted athlete and hard worker on and off the pitch. He has been an integral part of what is a new era of soccer at Lovett. I am looking forward to seeing further his accomplishments with Navy and beyond."
