Cost of college was unchanged for all students at the Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at the Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Georgia residents paid $12,424 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $6 more than the $12,418 charged for 2017-18.

Non-residents paid 165.8 percent more than residents this year, or $33,020. Their price tag grew 0 percent from $33,014 in 2017-18.

About 51 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Georgia residents. About 37 percent are residents of other states and 12 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 79 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 2,170 students received grants or scholarships totaling $27.6 million and 737 students took out student loans totaling more than $4.8 million.

Including all undergraduates (32,723), 10,444 students used grants or scholarships totaling $109.8 million, and 4,131 students took out $26.1 million in federal student loans.
