U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has voiced concerns about government officials allegedly protecting associates of Jeffrey Epstein, whom she referred to as ‘monsters.’ This follows the unsealing of court documents that disclosed previously unknown contacts within Epstein’s network.

In a post by Greene, she asked: “What kind of people in our government would protect the monsters that raped children? And what kind of things were done in order to protect them?” Her comments were in response to an alleged victim of Epstein who stated: “I have spent the last 17 years in my own prison for what she, Jeffery & all the coconspirators did to me. I was raped repeatedly, I was raped 3x per day sometimes & I was not the only girl on that island. There was a constant stream of girls being raped over and over and over again.”

Fox News reports that U.S. District Judge Loretta A. Preska ordered the release of 40 previously sealed court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein late Wednesday, with an expected total of around 250 documents set to be unsealed in the coming days. The initial batch mostly names known figures, including high-profile associates of Epstein and his victims, as part of a 2015 lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre against Ghislaine Maxwell, shedding more light on Epstein’s network and Maxwell’s involvement in recruiting underage victims.

According to AP News, millionaire Jeffrey Epstein had associations with high profile officials and faced accusations of sex crimes involving underage girls. Despite numerous allegations, he served only 13 months after pleading guilty to a single charge. His connections spanned influential figures, some of whom distanced themselves after his conviction. Renewed scrutiny led to federal charges for sex trafficking in 2019, but Epstein allegedly died by suicide awaiting trial. His associate Ghislaine Maxwell was later convicted for her involvement in recruiting victims.

The Independent reports that the released documents suggest that Jeffrey Epstein stated that Bill Clinton said that he “likes them young.”
