On Saturday, Nov. 22, the Benedict Tigers, featuring former Benjamin E. Mays High School standout Triston Morgan, secured a 25-24 win over the Wingate Bulldogs in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.
The closely contested game was held at Irwin Belk Stadium at 2 p.m., marking the first tournament meeting between the Benedict Tigers and the Wingate Bulldogs.
Benedict Tigers are scheduled to play their next game on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 1 p.m. at ASU Coliseum.
