The Atlanta Falcons showcased a strong running game against the Carolina Panthers, amassing 200 rushing yards and three touchdowns. This success was largely attributed to the effective blocking by the offensive line and downfield blockers, including tight end Charlie Woerner.

Woerner, who joined the Falcons as a free agent from the San Francisco 49ers, played a crucial role in supporting the rushing attack. Despite not being widely recognized in the offense, his contributions were significant during Sunday's game.

In one of the key plays of the first quarter, Woerner's block helped Tyler Allgeier gain seven yards instead of just one or two. During a second-quarter play, Woerner's blocking allowed Bijan Robinson to score a touchdown without being touched until he reached the 1-yard line.

In another notable moment in the third quarter, Woerner made a key block that facilitated one of Atlanta's longest runs of 17 yards. His efforts continued into the fourth quarter when his blocking helped turn what could have been a four-yard gain into an 18-yard explosive run by Allgeier.

The Falcons' running game drew attention for its effectiveness against Carolina, but Woerner's role in facilitating some of their biggest moments on Sunday should not be overlooked.
