Falcons inside linebacker Nate Landman has returned to practice after being designated to return from injured reserve. This comes as the team prepares for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers. Landman had been sidelined due to calf and quad injuries since before Atlanta's Week 2 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Head coach Raheem Morris commented on Landman's return, stating, "Opened his window today, so obviously he'll go out and get a chance to go out there and get some physical work with the team, get him to do some different things, get a chance to move him." Morris added that they have time before deciding whether Landman will be placed on the active roster.

Linebacker Troy Andersen also missed last week's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's injury report. The Falcons will monitor both linebackers' status throughout the week.

In their win over the Buccaneers, rookie inside linebacker JD Bertrand played alongside Kaden Elliss. Bertrand logged 38 defensive snaps, his highest of the season, finishing with five tackles. He expressed satisfaction with his performance but acknowledged room for improvement: "I feel like there's always going to be room to improve, no matter what."

The Falcons' injury report also included three other starters. Wide receiver Darnell Mooney was limited in practice due to a knee injury following an impressive performance where he caught nine passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Kirk Cousins was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week after that game. Outside linebacker Matthew Judon (hamstring) and cornerback Dee Alford (concussion) were also listed as limited participants.
