FOIA Request to Teachers Retirement System of Georgia Regarding Comprehensive Pension Roster Details on September 20, 2024.
In our continuous efforts to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at ATL Standard have sent a request under the Georgia Open Records Act § 50.18.70 et seq., to the Teachers Retirement System of Georgia.
The request pertains to the list of all active employees and retired employees for in their organization's pension fund for the year of 2023. The requested data fields include last name, first name, middle name, date of birth, employer name, employment start date, employment end date, salary, compensation type, amount, year, process date, last disbursement amount, disbursement frequency and the contribution amount for the year 2023.
As a media organization committed to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public through our reporting activities, we believe that access to these public records is essential. We have therefore requested a fee waiver as a media professional in line with our role in disseminating information.
