Atlanta United falls to Nashville SC amid roster milestones and celebrations

Atlanta United faced off against Nashville SC at home on September 14, 2024. The match saw the following starting lineup for Atlanta United: Brad Guzan (c), Brooks Lennon, Stian Gregersen, Derrick Williams (Luis Abram 86'), Pedro Amador (Noah Cobb 90'), Bartosz Slisz (Tristan Muyumba 70'), Jay Fortune (Dax McCarty 70'), Alexey Miranchuk, Xande Silva (Edwin Mosquera 37'), Saba Lobjanidze, and Daniel Ríos (Jamal Thíare 70'). Unused substitutes included Josh Cohen, Luke Brennan, and Tyler Wolff.

Roster notes highlighted that this was Alexey Miranchuk's first match at Mercedes-Benz Stadium since joining Atlanta United. Tyler Wolff is on the brink of his 50th MLS appearance for Atlanta United. Dax McCarty made an appearance off the bench against his former club following his announcement to retire after the current season.

The event coincided with Latin Heritage Night celebrated by Atlanta United. Fans were encouraged to explore the new Somos Atlanta Collection available at official team stores.

Following the main event was a match featuring Atlanta United's Unified team. For those unable to attend in person at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, streaming was available on the official Atlanta United website.

Two players were ruled out for Saturday’s match as per the Availability Report presented by Piedmont.
