Atlanta opens cooling center to help residents combat heat

The City of Atlanta will open a cooling center as temperatures rise across the city. The center will be open from Wednesday, June 26, 2024, through Friday, June 28, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. The cooling center will be located at Selena Butler Park and Recreation Center at 98 WM Holmes Borders Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30312.

Water will be provided to residents while in the cooling center.
