Atlanta to open cooling center for residents amid rising temperatures

The City of Atlanta will open a cooling center as temperatures rise across the city. The center will be operational on Sunday, June 23, 2024, and Monday, June 24, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. It will be located at Selena Butler Park and Recreation Center at 98 WM Holmes Borders Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30312.

Water will be provided to residents while in the cooling center.
