The City of Atlanta announced that the Department of Public Works Office of Solid Waste Services will not collect garbage, recycling, or bulk items on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in observance of Juneteenth. Customers with regular collection days from Wednesday through Friday will be serviced one day later.

Services originally scheduled for Wednesday will be moved to Thursday. Similarly, Thursday services will be moved to Friday. For residents with a regular collection day of Friday, garbage and recycling carts should be placed curbside by 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 22.

The regular collection schedule will resume on Monday, June 24, 2024.

For additional assistance, residents can contact the City of Atlanta by dialing 3-1-1 (inside Atlanta city limits) or 404-546-0311. They may also download the Atlanta Solid Waste Services mobile app or visit www.atlantaga.gov/solidwaste to find their collection schedule.
