Atlanta to open cooling center amid rising temperatures

The City of Atlanta will open a cooling center as temperatures begin to rise across the city. The center will be operational on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and again on Sunday, June 16, 2024, during the same hours. The cooling center is located at Selena Butler Park and Recreation Center at 98 WM Holmes Borders Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30312.

Water will be provided to residents while they are in the cooling center.
