Sen. Sally Harrell presented Susie Kyle, founder of Clubhouse Atlanta, with the 2024 Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Award during the annual Yellow Rose Ceremony hosted by the Georgia Women’s Legislative Caucus. The award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated selfless dedication to community service, a tradition started by former Representative Nikki T. Randall, a strong advocate for women, families, and communities. Sen. Harrell, co-chair of Georgia’s Women’s Legislative Caucus, commended Kyle for her work in establishing Clubhouse Atlanta, which provides a supportive environment for individuals facing mental health challenges.

“When I visited Clubhouse Atlanta, I was so impressed with what they do and how their model can give people living with mental illness a sense of community and belonging, ultimately helping keep them out of crisis and out of hospitals,” said Sen. Harrell. “Susie’s work to establish the Clubhouse and her many years of service with the National Association of Mental Illness and other organizations made her an obvious choice for the Nikki T. Randall award.”

Susie Kyle, who co-founded Clubhouse Atlanta in Dunwoody after years of advocating for her son Bo's chronic mental illness, was honored at the Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Yellow Rose Ceremony and Awards Luncheon. She also received an official Privileged Resolution in recognition of her dedication to service.

Sen. Sally Harrell represents the 40th Senate District covering portions of DeKalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett Counties. She can be reached by phone at 404.463.2260 or via email at sally.harrell@senate.ga.gov.
