County of Fulton issued the following announcement on Dec. 15.
The Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved a first-of-its-kind study on accessibility for individuals with disabilities in utilizing performing arts facilities and assisting in developing best practices for engaging artists with disabilities in facilities across Fulton County.
FCAC becomes one of the nation’s first organizations to conduct a study to assess opportunities for individuals with disabilities to fully utilize arts facilities in Fulton County as members of the audience, employees, and performers.
We are now in the process of surveying venues, performers, and audience members on specific aspects of accessibility. The survey results will provide recommendations focusing on both physical and programmatic interventions to ensure venues and organizations have the tools to make the arts more accessible.
Your valuable feedback in this process is greatly appreciated.
