Clark Atlanta University (CAU) today announced a groundbreaking partnership as the first Historically Black College and University (HBCU) to officially partner with Operation HOPE’s national One Million Black Business Initiative (1MBB).
On Friday July 16, 2021, the Fulton County vaccination facility located at 4700 North Point Parkway in Alpharetta administered its 100,000th COVID-19 vaccine dose to Fulton County resident April Williams. The North Point location is one of several sites around the county open to those needing to be vaccinated.
The City of Atlanta Department of Public Works (DPW) announced that due to staffing shortages that are affecting the solid waste industry nationwide, it is taking aggressive immediate action to address challenges with collecting yard trimmings by hiring temporary staff, extending work hours, developing recruiting and retention incentives, adjusting yard trimming collection services to every other week, and investing in additional equipment and technology to increase productivity.
The VA Atlanta Health Care System ranked 12th among VA health care systems with 139,208 pending appointments across its 16 locations during the period ending Dec. 1, according to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
