Stites & Harbison, PLLC announced on Mar. 17 that attorney Jacob E. Moses has joined the firm’s Nashville, Tennessee office as part of its Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy Service Group.

Moses will represent clients in commercial and civil litigation, including business disputes, contract issues, commercial finance matters, and insurance coverage cases. His work will also focus on business reorganizations, workouts, adversary proceedings, and legal matters related to Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code.

Before joining Stites & Harbison, Moses worked at two law firms in Nashville and Franklin, Tennessee. There he gained experience handling complex commercial and civil litigation cases.

Moses earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2023. While in law school, he served as a judicial intern for Judge Suzanne H. Bauknight at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and co-authored an article titled “The Guitar Center Bankruptcy: Getting the Band Back Together,” which appeared in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Case Studies (2022). He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with honors from the University of Tennessee in 2020. Moses is admitted to practice law in Tennessee.
