Santiago Pita receives second call-up to U.S. under-19 national team

Santiago Pita has been selected for the U.S. Under-19 Youth National Team Camp in Wales during the November FIFA window, which runs from November 10 to 18. This marks Pita’s second call-up to the U.S. U-19 squad since he became eligible on June 1, 2025. He will be joined by Dominik Chong Qui, a First Team defender.

The camp is part of preparations for qualification for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Under coach Gus Teren, the United States will compete in the UEFA U-19 Youth Tournament against Germany on November 12 at 11:30 a.m. ET, Wales on November 15 at 9:30 a.m. ET, and Japan on November 18 at 6 a.m. ET. The matches are not scheduled to be streamed.

In related international youth competition news, Jonathan Ransom was previously called up to play for Canada at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar from November 3 to 27. After two group stage matches, Canada is currently second in Group K with one win and one draw; Ransom started both games, contributing to a victory over Uganda and a draw against France. Canada’s final group match is set for Tuesday, November 11 against Chile at 7:30 a.m. ET, with progression to the knockout stage possible with either a win or draw. The game will be available via FOX Soccer Plus.
