Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana appointed Marjorie A. Farris, an attorney at Stites & Harbison, PLLC, to its Board of Directors, according to a March 11 announcement.
The appointment is part of Junior Achievement’s ongoing efforts to inspire and prepare young people for success. The organization focuses on providing knowledge and skills in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness through various programs.
Farris currently serves as Chair of Stites & Harbison. She is an experienced trial lawyer who has handled a wide range of litigation cases including products liability, insurance bad faith, ERISA matters, complex business litigation, and class actions. Farris has defended more than 75 class actions across the country. She is based in Louisville and has led the firm as chair since 2021.
Founded in 1919, Junior Achievement is recognized as the nation’s largest organization dedicated to preparing young people for future success through educational initiatives.
The addition of Farris to the board reflects Junior Achievement’s commitment to bringing experienced professionals into leadership roles as it continues its mission.
