Jason R. Anavitarte, a Republican serving as the Georgia State Senator for the 31st District since 2021, posted several comments on his X (formerly Twitter) account between September 20 and 21, 2025.

On September 20, Anavitarte shared a brief message supporting a sports team, stating: ” Go Jackets!! https://t.co/5iDTt3p7AP”.

The following day, Anavitarte made a pointed comment about an unnamed political figure in New York. He wrote: “Because he wants to be a communist dictator of New York https://t.co/HKS39WhUv0” on September 21.

Later that evening, he referenced Senator Marco Rubio in relation to someone named Charlie and their family. His post read: “Vintage Rubio showed up for Charlie’s family and America today. https://t.co/NHVpyq8An2”.

Anavitarte has represented Georgia’s 31st Senate District since being elected in 2021, succeeding Bill Heath. His tenure is marked by active engagement on social media regarding both state and national issues.
