Jason R. Anavitarte, a Republican who has represented Georgia’s 31st Senate District since 2021, shared several posts on his Twitter account between January 31 and February 1, 2026, highlighting his engagement with local sports events.
On January 31, Anavitarte posted about attending a basketball game featuring Carolina, expressing enthusiasm for the event: “Always epic when Carolina comes to town and great to be on campus even on a freezing day. Great to see so many Jackets in a sold out McCamish. https://t.co/R9wliqn37x”.
Shortly after, he published another tweet with only an emoji: ” https://t.co/Bn8DLMn27n”, also dated January 31.
On February 1, Anavitarte turned his attention to North Paulding High School’s girls’ basketball team, encouraging them with the message: “Let’s go North Paulding @NPHSLadyHoops! Keep playing hard. 1% #BlueCollarBasketball https://t.co/eID5NxpAA6”.
Anavitarte has served as state senator since being elected in 2021 to succeed Bill Heath in representing Georgia’s 31st Senate District.
