Jason R. Anavitarte, Senate Majority Leader and Republican representing Georgia’s 31st Senate District since 2021, has recently addressed several issues affecting his constituents through posts on social media.

On September 8, 2025, Anavitarte outlined his priorities as a legislative leader, stating: “As Senate Majority Leader, I’m ready to work with my Senate colleagues and deliver for hardworking Georgians. That means building safe communities, a strong economy with opportunity, and the best public education to support the next generation. #ReigniteTheAmericanDream #Georgia”

A day later, on September 9, he commented on a local tragedy involving a young girl and concerns about driving under the influence. He wrote: “We are praying for this young girl’s family. DUI is unacceptable and not having a drivers license raises the concern even more. I grew up right down the road from here and agree Richard, not having a valid drivers license leads to more questions that law enforcement should have”

On September 10, Anavitarte posted an enthusiastic message: “Let’s go!!!”

Anavitarte was elected in 2021 to represent Georgia’s 31st Senate District after succeeding Bill Heath. As Senate Majority Leader, he has used his platform to highlight public safety concerns and advocate for policies aimed at improving community well-being and economic opportunity in Georgia.
