Jason R. Anavitarte, a Republican elected to the Georgia State Senate in 2021 to represent the state’s 31st Senate District, has used his social media platform to comment on recent political developments and criticism of Democratic leaders.

On January 4, 2026, Anavitarte posted on his X account: “That’s some truth, they are all silent in Georgia…”

Later that day, he wrote: “In this moment of time for Georgia, @SenatorWarnock criticizes the arrest of narco terrorist Maduro, but is well known for praising other muderous dictators like Castro. This is out of touch with Georgia and Hispanics that flee countries like Venezuela for freedom. The silence of” (January 4, 2026).

In another post dated January 4, 2026, Anavitarte commented: “Now I understand why Democrats in Georgia are so quiet… Rubio is dismantling their talking points everywhere…”

Anavitarte succeeded Bill Heath as the representative for Georgia’s 31st Senate District after his election in 2021.
