Jason R. Anavitarte, a Republican who has represented Georgia’s 31st Senate District since 2021, posted several statements on his X (formerly Twitter) account between January 6 and January 8, 2026.
On January 6, Anavitarte expressed support for a coach by stating: “LFG Congrats Coach! #StingEm https://t.co/1nWzZ25K6v”.
Two days later, on January 8, he commented on an apparent sports or organizational change: “Dump salary, poor culture/attitude for basically nothing. Could have done over last two years, but glad this era is over. https://t.co/rjY0NQlK6A”.
Later that same day, Anavitarte criticized Senator Jon Ossoff’s response to recent events involving law enforcement and immigration. He wrote: “Jon Ossoff remained silent all week after President Trump successfully arrested the indicted drug trafficker and cartel leader whose regime led to the murder of Laken Riley at the University of Georgia by an illegal from Venezuela. Georgians deserve to know where you stand on https://t.co/wqSvqmCgqR”.
Anavitarte began serving in the Georgia State Senate after being elected in 2021, succeeding Bill Heath as representative of the state’s 31st district.
