Jason R. Anavitarte, a Republican who has represented Georgia’s 31st Senate District since 2021, recently posted several messages on his Twitter account addressing public safety and community events in Georgia.

On September 11, 2025, Anavitarte marked the anniversary of the September 11 attacks with a brief message: “Never Forget. Go Jackets https://t.co/vbDrtL7nxf”.

The following day, September 12, he commented on concerns about public safety in Atlanta. He wrote: “Safety in ATL is in issue, from downtown to nearby neighborhoods. Neighbors want safe communities and visitors coming to Georgia want to be safe continuously. We shouldn’t talk safety when it’s just big events coming up, should be about the long term. If that is a real local https://t.co/ivmhafosYA”.

On September 13, Anavitarte described participating in a community event alongside other state representatives. He stated: “Tonight along with a couple friends of mine, @RepMomtahan and Rep. Joseph Gullett , welcomed nearly 700 individuals of all cultures, races, from middle school to older adults in Dallas tonight. We will pray for Charlie Kirk’s family and pray for America. We will Reignite Georgia https://t.co/vnHhVMjBhX”.

Anavitarte was elected to the Georgia State Senate in 2021 after succeeding Bill Heath as senator for the state’s 31st district.
