Stian Gregersen and Alexey Miranchuk are both set to make their 50th starts for Atlanta United as the team prepares to face D.C. United on March 21. The match, scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff, will also see Atlanta United debut its Spirit of ’96 community kit.

The milestone is significant for both players, marking them as the 29th and 30th in club history to reach half a century of starts. Gregersen spoke about his offseason efforts to improve fitness, saying he hopes to lead the defense with physicality and aerial command during another full match.

The starting lineup remains unchanged from last week’s game against Philadelphia, with Lucas Hoyos in goal and a backline featuring Tomás Jacob, Enea Mihaj, Elías Báez, and Gregersen. The midfield trio consists of Matías Galarza, Tristan Muyumba, and Cooper Sanchez—who at age 17 became the youngest player in club history to start a season opener on February 21 against FC Cincinnati. Up front, Miranchuk joins Emmanuel Latte Lath and captain Miguel Almirón.

Miranchuk enters his third consecutive start after scoring in back-to-back matches for only the third time in his career. Almirón recently broke the club’s career assists record with three assists against Philadelphia Union on March 14, bringing his total to 38 across two stints with Atlanta United.

Jacob continues at right back and currently ranks fourth in Major League Soccer for duels won this season with 31. According to the official website, Atlanta United FC operates from Atlanta, Georgia and competes as a Major League Soccer team in the Eastern Conference. The club has an all-time record of ten wins, seven losses, and three draws against D.C. United.

Atlanta United has achieved notable success since its founding, including winning the MLS Cup in 2018 as well as U.S. Open Cup and Campeones Cup titles in 2019 according to the official website. As they look ahead to tonight’s match-up with D.C. United—where they have scored three or more goals five times in their last nine meetings—the team aims to build on its recent momentum.
