Georgia Tech has been named by WalletHub.com as the top-performing public institution in the U.S. for return on education investment. Each year, the finance website compares nearly 1,000 American colleges to determine their rankings for schools providing the best education at the lowest possible cost. The rankings are calculated using data for 30 different metrics including student selectivity, cost, faculty resources, campus experience, and educational and career outcomes.

Georgia Tech ranks ninth overall, behind eight private universities. It is the only public university in the top 1% of colleges in WalletHub’s rankings. Tech is also the top ACC institution, and it moved up from No. 13 in 2022 into the top 10 overall on the 2023 list of all public and private universities.

The data scientists who tabulated the WalletHub Best Colleges rankings hope their report will help future learners make more informed choices about their investment in a college education.
