Students in rural Georgia are participating in the Advanced Manufacturing Pathways (AMP) program, an initiative from the Georgia Institute of Technology that introduces hands-on learning through designing, building, and racing custom cars. The program aims to teach students real manufacturing skills and provide new educational opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

With support from local educators and industry partners, AMP is intended to change how communities think about workforce development. The program focuses on practical experiences that can prepare students for future careers in technical fields.

Georgia Tech is recognized for its focus on technology education across engineering, sciences, business, and liberal arts disciplines. The institution maintains a campus in Midtown Atlanta and engages globally through partnerships and international campuses. More information about its programs can be found at https://gatech.edu/.

The university has a history of producing leaders in innovation and engineering among its alumni. It also generates significant economic impact for the state of Georgia and operates as a leading public research university with more than 55,000 enrolled students and over $1.4 billion in sponsored research annually.

Georgia Tech’s efforts aim to develop leaders who advance technology and improve society. Its role in launching initiatives like AMP reflects this mission.
