The Atlanta Falcons have elevated safety Jammie Robinson and wide receiver Chris Blair from the practice squad for their upcoming Thursday night game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium.
This is the third time this season that Robinson has been elevated to the active roster. He was previously brought up for the Week 11 overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers and the Week 12 win over the New Orleans Saints, participating in a total of 35 snaps but not recording any statistics. Robinson, who played in 21 games and made 20 tackles with the Carolina Panthers during the 2023 and 2024 seasons, joined the Falcons’ practice squad in November.
Blair is making his first appearance of the season after playing four games for Atlanta last year and one in 2023. Over his five career games, he has two targets and one reception.
The Falcons-Buccaneers matchup is scheduled to begin at 8:15 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on “TNF on Prime Video.”
NFL rules allow teams to elevate two players from their practice squad to the active roster each game day. Each player can be elevated three times per season; a fourth elevation would require signing them to the 53-man roster. With three regular-season games remaining after Thursday, Atlanta will need to decide whether to add Robinson permanently if they want him available again this year.
Below is a summary of Atlanta’s standard practice squad elevations so far this season:
– Week 1: WR David Sills V, RB Carlos Washington Jr.
– Week 2: K Parker Romo
– Week 6: CB Keith Taylor, WR Deven Thompkins
– Week 8: WR Dylan Drummond, QB Easton Stick
– Week 9: WR Dylan Drummond
– Week 10: CB Keith Taylor, OL Joshua Gray
– Week 11: CB Cobee Bryant, S Jammie Robinson
– Week 12: WR Dylan Drummond, S Jammie Robinson
– Week 13: WR Deven Thompkins
– Week 14: CB C.J. Henderson
“Every team can elevate two players from the practice squad to the active roster for each game day. A player is allowed three elevations per season. A fourth elevation would require the player to be signed to the 53-man roster. The Falcons will therefore need to make a decision on Robinson if they want him to play in another game this season. There are three remaining after Thursday.”
