Eight Atlanta United players have left the club to join their national teams during the October FIFA international window, which runs from October 6 to October 14. This is the final time in the 2025 MLS regular season that Atlanta United’s roster will be affected by international call-ups.

Luke Brennan has already been away with the United States at the FIFA Men’s U-20 World Cup in Chile. The other seven players are representing various countries across different competitions and friendlies.

Miggy Almirón is traveling with Paraguay for two friendlies against Japan and Korea Republic. Both Asian teams, as well as Paraguay, have qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The matches are scheduled for Friday, October 10 against Japan and Tuesday, October 14 against Korea Republic.

Yeferson Hernández joins Venezuela for friendlies against Argentina in Miami on Friday, October 10 and Belize in Chicago on Tuesday, October 14. Venezuela narrowly missed out on World Cup qualification during their last campaign.

Saba Lobjanidze has received his third consecutive call-up to Georgia’s national team. Georgia faces Spain on Saturday, October 11 and Türkiye on Tuesday, October 14 in European qualifiers. Georgia is currently second in group E after two matches.

Enea Mihaj will join Albania for his first international break since signing with Atlanta United. Albania plays Serbia on Saturday, October 11 in a key qualifier before hosting Jordan for a friendly on Tuesday, October 14. Albania sits second in group K behind England.

Aleksei Miranchuk will represent Russia in two friendlies due to Russia’s ongoing ban from official FIFA competitions. The team faces Iran in Volgograd on Friday, October 10 and Bolivia in Moscow on Tuesday, October 14.

Bartosz Slisz joins Poland for a friendly against New Zealand on Thursday, October 9 and an important qualifier versus Lithuania on Sunday, October 12. Poland is tied with the Netherlands at ten points each atop group G; only first place guarantees automatic qualification for the next World Cup.

Cooper Sanchez has been called up to participate in training camp with the U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team in Fayetteville, Georgia ahead of roster selection for the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup scheduled from November 3–27.

During this period of absences due to international duty, Atlanta United will play an away match against Inter Miami on October 11.
