Atlanta United has announced the departure of Director of High Performance Dave Tenney, who will be joining Real Salt Lake. The club stated that it received compensation for releasing Tenney from his contract.
The search for a new Director of High Performance will begin immediately. In the meantime, Dr. R. Amadeus Mason, the club’s Chief Medical Officer, will oversee the team’s medical department on a daily basis.
Tenney joined Atlanta United in December 2024 after working with Austin FC. His previous experience includes three years with the NBA’s Orlando Magic and over a decade in Major League Soccer with Seattle Sounders and Sporting Kansas City.
Atlanta United FC is based in Atlanta, Georgia and competes as a Major League Soccer team in the Eastern Conference official website.
