Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week, according to an announcement from the NFL on Wednesday.
This marks Robinson’s second league honor in 2025. He previously received the NFL Offensive Player of the Month award for September.
Robinson’s recognition follows a standout performance during the Falcons’ Week 6 prime-time game against the Buffalo Bills at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. In the 24-14 win, Robinson recorded a season-high 238 yards from scrimmage, including 170 rushing yards and 68 receiving yards. He also scored on an 81-yard reception, which is the longest of his career.
“He’s the best player in football,” said Falcons head coach Raheem Morris after the game. “I’ve said it multiple times. I can’t say it enough.”
Several milestones were achieved by Robinson during the game. His 170 rushing yards set a new record for a Falcons player in a prime-time game. Robinson and San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey are currently the only players in the league to have reached at least 100 scrimmage yards in every game this season. For the first time in his career, Robinson surpassed 100 rushing yards in the first half, finishing with 138 yards by halftime. His 81-yard touchdown matched Michael Turner’s 81-yard score against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012, making it the second-longest rushing touchdown in Falcons history. At 23 years old, Robinson is now the youngest Falcons player to reach 4,000 career scrimmage yards, totaling 4,172 since being drafted eighth overall in 2023.
Robinson and the Falcons will next face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
