Atlanta United has agreed to transfer forward Jamal Thiaré to Columbus Crew in exchange for up to $300,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM). The deal includes a guaranteed $200,000 in 2026 GAM, with the potential for an additional $100,000 based on incentives.
Thiaré joined Atlanta United in August 2023 and played in 64 Major League Soccer matches for the club. Before his time with Atlanta, the Senegalese forward had a career in Europe, competing in Belgium and France.

Following this move, Atlanta United’s roster consists of two goalkeepers—Jayden Hibbert and Lucas Hoyos; nine defenders including Pedro Amador and Stian Gregersen; eleven midfielders such as Miguel Almirón and Saba Lobjanidze; and four forwards—Luke Brennan, Ashton Gordon (on loan), Latte Lath, and Cayman Togashi.
