Atlanta United has transferred midfielder Edwin Mosquera to Independiente Santa Fe of Colombia’s first division for an undisclosed fee. The club also ended Mosquera’s loan with Millonarios before finalizing the transfer. This move opens a U-22 Initiative spot on Atlanta United’s roster.
Mosquera joined Atlanta United on July 12, 2022, from Deportivo Independiente Medellín. He started in 10 of his 59 MLS appearances, scoring six goals and providing four assists.

With this transaction, Atlanta United’s roster as of January 20, 2026, includes two goalkeepers: Jayden Hibbert and Lucas Hoyos; nine defenders: Pedro Amador, Juan Berrocal (on loan from Getafe through June 30, 2026), Dominik Chong Qui, Matthew Edwards, Ronald Hernández, Stian Gregersen, Tomás Jacob, Enea Mihaj and Kaiden Moore; ten midfielders: Miguel Almirón, Steven Alzate, Jay Fortune, Saba Lobjanidze, Alexey Miranchuk, Tristan Muyumba, Santiago Pita, Will Reilly, Cooper Sanchez and Adyn Torres; and five forwards: Luke Brennan, Ashton Gordon (on loan with Chattanooga FC through December 31, 2026), Latte Lath, Jamal Thiaré and Cayman Togashi.
