Atlanta United FC will enter their home opener at Mercedes-Benz Stadium with one of the healthiest squads they have had this season. Only two players appeared on the team’s Friday availability report ahead of Saturday night’s match against Real Salt Lake.

Dominik Chong Qui, who missed the first two matches due to a preseason knee injury, is now eligible to return to play. Jay Fortune remains unavailable as he continues to recover from a foot injury sustained last season. However, Fortune has been participating in training over recent weeks and discussed his progress on a recent episode of The Guuuzan Show.

“It wasn’t always easy, but it’s built me into the person I am now,” Fortune said of his recovery process on the podcast. “It adds that extra bit of toughness and grit every time I step out on the field.”

Midfielder Will Reilly is also working back from a hamstring injury suffered early in the regular season and has been active in training sessions.

Atlanta United FC, which plays its home games in Atlanta, Georgia, competes as part of Major League Soccer’s Eastern Conference according to their official website. The club won the MLS Cup in 2018 and added victories in both the U.S. Open Cup and Campeones Cup in 2019 (source).

The nearly full-strength team will face Real Salt Lake at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday.
