Three weeks after the Atlanta Falcons ended their 2025 season with a four-game winning streak and a victory over the New Orleans Saints, several changes have taken place within the organization.
Matt Ryan has been named president of football, Kevin Stefanski has joined as head coach, and new offensive and defensive coordinators have been announced. Despite these changes, AtlantaFalcons.com continued its annual tradition of roster recaps, providing analysis on each position group’s performance in 2025 and expectations for 2026.
The recaps addressed key questions for each group. For the offense: Who will be the starting quarterback at training camp? Will running back Tyler Allgeier remain with the team? Are additions needed at wide receiver? Will tight end Kyle Pitts Sr. receive a franchise tag? How will Kaleb McGary recover from injury on the offensive line?
On defense, topics included whether the defensive front can improve against the run, how to replace lost production among edge rushers, if there will be an effort to keep inside linebacker Kaden Elliss, and whether defensive back Dee Alford will return.
Special teams coverage focused on whether either kicker Zane Gonzalez or punter Bradley Pinion would stay with the Falcons.
The Atlanta Falcons are based in Atlanta, Georgia, competing in the National Football League’s NFC South Division since their founding as an expansion franchise in 1965. The team has made Super Bowl appearances in 1998 and 2016. Freddie the Falcon serves as their mascot (https://www.atlantafalcons.com/).
