Alston & Bird partners Kendall Houghton, Ethan Millar, Matt Hedstrom, and Michael Giovannini and senior counsel John Coalson of the firm’s State & Local Tax group have each been honored with the “State Tax Portfolio Author of the Year” award by Bloomberg Tax & Accounting for being thought leaders who have provided cutting-edge guidance on nuanced legal, compliance, and planning issues associated with unclaimed property.

The Bloomberg Tax publication the team was recognized for, “Unclaimed Property (Portfolio 1600),” provides an overview of the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform Laws’ Uniform Unclaimed Property Acts and offers practical perspectives on key legal and compliance issues that impact U.S. companies.

As stated by Lisa Fitzpatrick, president of Bloomberg Tax & Accounting, “Bloomberg Tax subscribers gain great value and must-have insights from the real-world experience and expertise of authors Kendall Houghton, Ethan Millar, Matthew Hedstrom, Michael Giovanni, and John Coalson.”
