Mayor Andre Dickens is set to announce the establishment of the Inaugural Women of Atlanta Advisory Council, with a diverse group of influential women from various sectors joining the initiative. The announcement, scheduled for April 15, 2024, has garnered excitement and anticipation from the community.

Chief Equity Officer, Candace Stanciel, expressed her gratitude for the Mayor's support for women, stating, "I am grateful to serve a Mayor who understands the importance of supporting women. And while I know people will be inspired by this work, what I am most excited about is the impact we will be able to measure for both the women of Atlanta today and young girls who are growing up in our beloved City because of the Women of Atlanta Advisory Council."

Among the esteemed members of the council are prominent figures such as Stephanie Blank, Founder and Chair of GEEARS; Shan Cooper, CEO of Journey Forward Strategies; Shirley Franklin, former Mayor of the City of Atlanta; and Ann W. Cramer, Retired from IBM Corporation. The council boasts a diverse range of expertise and backgrounds, including leaders from organizations like The Carter Center, AT&T, The Coca-Cola Company, and many more.
